Zen-A Organization Launches Teen Boy Pro-Wrestling Group

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Trainees and pro-wrestlers will appear at first event on June 13

Who says wrestling is for tough guys!? Entertainment group Zen-A is mixing it up with its own brand of professional wrestling—a "Bishōnen" (handsome boys) group made up entirely of teenage boys. The young trainees will debut next month in an event that also features seasoned pros.

The group's "story" begins with Sho Taira, the sickly son of a millionaire who dreams of being a pro-wrestler. He decides to gather a group of teens who have the same dream. The "Bishōnen trainees" include:

Shōhei Mikami

Fumiya Sumino

Kentaro Menjo

Hikaru Kamiya

Hayato Taki

Shoji Nagata

Satoshi Kuwahata

Akihiro Kobayashi

Kōichi Wakahama

Masanori Hamano

The first event will be held on June 13 at Shinkiba 1st Ring JR in Tokyo. Tickets start at 3,000 yen (~US$30) and ringside seats cost 5,000 yen (~US$50). The official website is offering PC and phone wallpapers. Merchandise is also planned but there's no telling how long the group of pretty newbies will last.

Other performers scheduled to appear include Shōhei Mikami's "butler," Hitoshi Kagarazuka and professional wrestlers Mineo Fujita, Tatsuhito Senga, Tsutomu Oosugi, Yuki Sato, Susumu Hayata, Hiro Tōnai, Yohei Nakajima, Ryūnosuke Nomura, Buffalo, The Bodyguard, and Atsushi Maruyama.
