posted on by Bamboo Dong
Working women between the ages of 22-34 were recently polled by MyNavi Woman to find out their favorite manga series that involves music. Works by Ai Yazawa were high on the list, coming in at second and third, while the profanity-laced Detroit Metal City came in fourth. First place belonged to Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile, which has since been adapted into a TV series, an OVA, and a live-action TV series.
Here were the results:
- Nodame Cantabile (Tomoko Ninomiya)
- NANA (Ai Yazawa)
- Last Quarter (Ai Yazawa)
- Detroit Metal City (Kiminori Wakasugi)
- K-ON! (kakifly)
- Solanin (Inio Asano)
- Kids on the Slope (Yuki Kodama)
- Gin'iro no Harmony (Aoi Hiiragi)
- Mama's Violin (Tetsuya Chiba)
- The Piano Forest (Makoto Isshiki)
- Beck (Harold Sakuishi)
- Pride (Yukari Ichijō)
