posted on by Chris Nishijima
This winter, the Ueno Royal Museum in Taito, Tokyo will be putting on a special art exhibition showcasing works of art based off of the smash hit series Attack on Titan.
Hajime Isayama, the creator of the series was interviewed on the details of the exhibition, but he replied that they were still under consideration. As such, at this time, there are no specifics as to what pieces will be on display in the gallery. However, he assured fans that the art would have the same kind of darkness and gore seen throughout the series, asking them to please look forward to it. Once the dates and other details are confirmed and made available to the public, however, they will be posted on the official site.
Since the beginning of its serialization in September of 2009 in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, Attack on Titan has published 36 million copies. This year marks the unveiling of numerous other Attack on Titan projects, including an Ichiban Kuji and crane game line of products, a real escape game, and of course, the highly anticipated live-action movie that is set to be released in 2015.
