Flying Dog Holds Anime Song Singer Contest
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Japanese music label FlyingDog is holding its first anime song singing audition to find a "young, female" vocalist.
The label has worked with popular music acts like Akino Arai, Ali Project, Maaya Sakamoto, FictionJunction, May'n, Haruka Chisuga, Yuuka Nanri, Iori Nomizu, and Aoi Yūki.
The singer must be under 25 years old and audition before June 30 and can be either a professional or an amateur singer, as long as they are not under a current contract. Bands with male and female members can also try out but the singer must be female.
Entries need to include a head and body photo, and at least two audio or video demos of the contestant singing their favorite song. The winner must be a Japanese citizen as well and will make her CD debut next year.
The company is also looking for a full-time composer. That position has no deadline to enter.
