Sengoku Basara Characters Will Take On Car Theft
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
CAPCOM announced on Monday that it will lend its Sengoku Basara video game characters to fight car-related crimes for the Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo prefectures.
The Masamune Date character was previously used in Osaka in a campaign in April 2013 specifically targeting car theft. While car-related theft and crimes have gone down in the area, Osaka still has the highest incidence of car part theft (8,356 incidents last year) and break-ins (13,442 incidents last year). CAPCOM is uniting with the prefectures' police departments to target the crime with characters Sanada Yukimura, Maeda Keiji, and Kuroda Kanbee.
The Sengoku-era warlords will be featured on 10,000 posters and in 250,000 ads distributed to car part dealerships.
