Love Grants Superpowers in "School Girl Crush" Video Parody
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Fox's Animation Domination High-Def (ADHD) posted its next anime tribute, "School Girl Crush." The latest in a series of anime-inspired videos parodies Cutey Honey, Project A-ko, and other super-powered shojo anime "in the tradition of Utena, Project A-ko, Oniisama E..., Sailor Moon, Mai Hime, Kill la Kill, and Sakura Trick". The short follows poor transfer student Kim Kimiko who gains super powers to fight off her rich girl rival after falling in love with a girl.
ADHD took on shonen anime in its "Ultimate Anime Hero" mash-up last week. They recently also posted a video titled "Scientifically Accurate Pokémon" that takes more than a few digs at Pokémon, and other videos poking fun at Dragon Ball Z and Naruto.
