Fans of the karuta anime series Chihayafuru will have an extra opportunity to learn more about the sport. The English-language NHK World is highlighting competitive karuta on this week's episode of Sports Japan. In the segment, viewers will not only get the chance to see what a real karuta match looks like, but also an in-depth look at just how fast one of Japan's best players is.
