'Jaeger!' Tweeted 180,452 Times During Linked Horizon's New Year Performance

The Yahoo search engine's records list that when the word “Jaeger!” was sung during Linked Horizon's performance of “Guren no Yumiya” at the Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle) New Year's program, the word “Jaeger” was tweeted 180,420 times.

Japan set a record for the number of tweets per second back in December 2011 during the 13th airing of Studio Ghibli's animated movie Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Twitter users in Japan tweeted 11,349 tweets per second during the scene in which main characters Pazu and Sheeta say the spell word "balse" at the climax of the film.

When the Laputa: Castle in the Sky film aired again last August, it set a new record with 143,199 tweets per second.
