Moomin Theme Park Announced for Japan

The theme park has a planned opening date of 2015.
Japan will soon be getting a Moomin theme park. Timed to almost coincide with creator Tove Jansson's 100th birthday, the theme park is planned to open in 2015, although a location has yet to be determined.
The project will be overseen by Moomin Monogatari, Ltd., a joint venture by FinTech Global Inc. (FGI) and Puuha International Oy.
First published in 1945 in Swedish, the Moomin books and comic strips were adapted into several anime properties, and remains popular worldwide.
