Vocaloid Song Creation Goes Mobile

YAMAHA Corporation launched a new Vocaloid sound producer for users' iOS devices on November 3. "Vocaloid First" lets users choose from pre-set themes and melodies while adding their own lyrics. Users can also purchase more themes for as little as 200 yen (~US$2).
The app was created with video game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the producer behind Rez, Lumines and Ninety-Nine Nights.
YAMAHA introduced a similar pre-set song creator in October called "Vocaloducer" but it was only available via Yamaha's servers.
