Danny Choo/Culture Japan's Mirai Suenaga "Smart Doll" Commercial Streamed
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The official channel for Danny Choo began streaming a commercial for the Mirai Suenaga Smart Doll on Wednesday. Similar to some of the Persocoms seen in CLAMP's Chobits, Smart Dolls are figurine-sized dolls that move and respond to its owner via an Android app. The doll is "an interactive home appliance" that helps users "bid farewell to roneriness."
Mirai is a focal point of the Culture Japan brand and through partnerships with Good Smile Company, J.C. Staff, and others has continued to make cameo appearances in anime and visual novels like Mayo Chiki!, Twin Angel, Sonicomi, and Dracu-Riot! Choo first demoed the interactive doll version of Mirai in June.
The project doesn't have an estimated release date but you can follow its progress on the official website.
