Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! Film Holds Contest with Eyepatch/Bandage Maker

Win an illustrated QUO card or a first aid kit

In anticipation of the upcoming Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! (Love, Chunibyo, And Other Delusions) film, which is opening in Japanese theaters on September 14, the studio is collaborating with health care supply company Hakujuji on a promotional campaign. Fans who buy either a "one touch bandage" or an "eye patch set" from Hakujuji can submit the product's bar code for a chance to win one of 100 QUO cards that feature an original drawing of Rikka. The QUO cards are prepaid cards that can be used in a variety of stores.

Rikka, the main protagonist in the series, wears both an eye-patch as well as bandages on her left arm, even though she doesn't have any injuries. She's convinced that she possesses a "Wicked Eye" which will reveal the destinies of those around her.

Followers of the campaign's Twitter account also have the chance to win one of five campaign-exclusive "Ouch" First Aid Kits with a Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! design. The campaign started on Monday and will run until September 30.

According to the television anime's director Tatsuya Ishihara, the film will be a compilation of the first television season, but seen from Rikka's eyes and re-constructed with new elements to make it interesting for the audience. The staff and cast from the first season are returning for this film. Rikka (as voiced by Maaya Uchida) will perform the opening theme song, while Rikka, Shinka Nibutani (Chinatsu Akasaki), Kumin Tsuyuri (Azumi Asakura), and Sanae Dekomori (Sumire Uesaka) will perform the ending theme "Secret Survivor" as Black Raison d'être.

For fans keen to watch the Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! television anime series was acquired by Sentai Filmworks last year for digital and home video distribution in North America, and The Anime Network is streaming the series.

A second season has already been green-lit.
