posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
North American video game publisher Atlus USA began streaming an English story trailer on Thursday for the Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (Shin Sekaija no Meikyū: Millennium no Shōjo) Nintendo 3DS role-playing game.
The studio Madhouse is producing not only the opening anime, but other anime sequences for the game.
The game features an expanded story mode and a classic mode that updates the original Etrian Odyssey game. The story mode allows players to use five pre-made characters with personality and dialogue to explore a story not told in the first game. The game will also feature a Grimoire Stone system allowing characters to use skills outside of their classes. Shigeo Komori directed the game, and Shin Nagasawa designed the monsters.
Atlus USA will sell the game in stores and on the Nintendo eShop for US$39.99 on October 1. Those who pre-order the game will get a seven-track music CD by composer Yuzo Koshiro and a design book.
The game shipped in Japan on June 27 for 6,279 yen (about US$63).
Atlus USA released Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan for the Nintendo 3DS on February 26.
