Artist takes 10 days, uses 80 tons of sand to create Eren vs. Colossal Titan sculpture
Japanese publisher Kodansha posted a video on Friday with time-lapsed footage of sand artist Toshihiko Hosaka creating an Attack on Titan sculpture at a beach at Enoshima. The time-lapse spans the 10 days it took to build the sculpture, which was made with more than 80 tons of sand. Hosoka created the sculpture to commemorate the release of the manga's 11th volume, which shipped in Japan on August 9.
Kodansha USA is currently releasing Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan manga series, and Crunchyroll and Funimation are both streaming the anime adaptation as it airs. Funimation will also release the anime on home video next year.
