Pokémon Tretta Lab 3DS Game's Intro Video Streamed

The official Pokémon YouTube channel began streaming an introduction video on Monday for its upcoming game, Pokémon Tretta Lab for Nintendo 3DS. The video introduces the game features, such as the ability to check a Pokémon's stats, alternate forms, and type advantages, as well as to choose Pokémon and rules for auto battle.
Pokémon Tretta is a Japanese arcade game that has the player battling with collectible game tiles. The 3DS edition comes with a scanner add-on that can read the same Tretta tiles that the full-sized arcade machines use. (The scanner comes with two trays so it can attach to either the 3DS or its larger 3DS XL/LL variant.)
To use the scanner, the user downloads the Main System software that offers three modes: the Tretta Analyzer for displaying a Tretta's stats, the Type Checker for learning more about other Pokémon in the same type, and Auto Battle — the exclusive 3DS battle mode for single-player battles or battles between two different Tretta tiles.
The Pokémon Tretta Lab for Nintendo 3DS will go on sale in Japan on August 10 for 3,800 yen (about US$38). It will include three Tretta tiles with Mewtwo, Eevee, and Lucario as a tie-in to this summer's Pokémon the Movie: ExtremeSpeed Genesect and "Pikachu to Eevee Friends" films. While supplies last, those who buy the first sets will also receive a Pichu Tretta tile.
