posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Arc System Works began streaming the second promotional video for its upcoming Xblaze Code: Embryo adventure game on Saturday.
Producer Toshimichi Mori is leading his BlazBlue team on this brand-new project, and he has indicated that Xblaze Code: Embryo has ties to the story world of BlazBlue. The other staff members include director Hiroaki Masuzawa and character designer Konomi Higuchi.
The "adventure of blue fate" begins when high-school boy Tōya (voiced by Yukitoshi Kikuchi) is drawn by the sound of a bell into an abandoned facility involved in a dangerous incident in the past. There, he finds a man who is groaning in pain. When he asks if the man is OK, the man attacks him. At the moment he thought that he would die, a small girl with a sword named Es (voiced by Mayuka Nomura) appears and saves him.
Arc System Works will release the game for the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 systems in Japan on July 25. Pre-orders of the game will contain the game's original soundtrack CD.
