posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Konami began streaming the trailer for its Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection video game set on Thursday. The PlayStation 3 collection is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will retail for 7,980 yen (about US$81.50) in Japan on July 11, and in North America on July 9 for the price of US$49.99. The 2-disc set will include Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid Integral, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The set will also come with Blu-ray video segments titled Metal Gear Solid: Bande Dessinée and Metal Gear Solid 2: Bande Dessinée, as well as a Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Book art book. (Series creator Hideo Kojima revealed earlier this month that the set will not be released on the Xbox 360 mainly due to capacity issues.)
