5th Killer Is Dead Promo Video Previews Boss Battles

Kadokawa Games began streaming the fifth promotional video for its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game Killer Is Dead. (The video begins with the Z rating notice for players 18 years old and older, and an obligatory warning about violent scenes and grotesque imagery.) The video previews more of the battles between the protagonist Mondo and the bosses: the scheming creature Victor, the girl-turned-monster Alice, a giant born from an experimental device that went haywire, and David, the mysterious regal figure who aims to rule Earth.

The game will debut in Japan on August 1. XSEED plans to release this Grasshopper Manufacture-developed game in North America this summer.

Mondo is an "executioner" whose job it is to kill various heinous criminals. Executive director Suda51 stated the game will be full of the "condensed essence" of his previous "assassin games" such as killer7 and No More Heroes. He also noted that the game will feature sword fighting action just as No More Heroes does, and that it will be a "brilliant" game that goes in a different direction from the "pop and cute" Lollipop Chainsaw.
