Sonic Lost World E3 Trailer Shows 3DS-Specific Content
posted on
Sega America began streaming its E3 trailer for the Nintendo 3DS/Wii U video game Sonic Lost World on Tuesday. The trailer focuses on gameplay from the Nintendo 3DS version, 3DS-exclusive levels, and Sonic's newest abilities. The previous debut trailer focused on the Wii U version's graphics and gameplay.
The game will have both single-player and competitive multi-player modes. (The Wii U version will have an exclusive two-player "support mode" in which one player can use a standard Wii Remote and Nunchuk to control Sonic, while another player assists on the GamePad.)
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced the title during a live-streamed Nintendo Direct presentation last month. The latest game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is a brand-new action adventure platformer and the result of a worldwide partnership between Sega and Nintendo.
The game was first revealed through a trademark filing by Sega earlier this week in Europe. The title is tentative and the projected release date is this fall.
