David Lee Roth's 2 lines in Japanese short film are anime's iconic phrase
Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth released a preview for his short film "Tokyo Story," where he plays a stoic assassin in Japan, last week. In the film, Roth mutters only two lines that should be familiar to Sailor Moon fans, "Tsuki ni kawatte, oshioki yo!" (In the name of the moon, I will punish you!).
Van Halen is an American rock band consisting of singer David Lee Roth, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony (later replaced by Wolfgang Van Halen in 2006). The band scored fans and hits in the late 1970s and 1980s with the songs "Jump," "Panama," and "Hot for Teacher."
Roth moved to Tokyo last year and wrote the film while residing in Japan.
