posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Actor Takanori Jinnai (Detective Conan live-action TV movie) will star as the "Golden Wizard" Kamen Rider Sorcerer in this year's Kamen Rider Wizard film. The 54-year-old Jinnai will be the oldest actor to portray a Kamen Rider character, a title previously held by Hiroyuki Watanabe when he starred as Kamen Rider Gaoh in Kamen Rider Den-O: I'm Born! at the age of 51.
Kamen Rider Wizard, the latest live-action tokusatsu (special-effects) series in the long-running Kamen Rider franchise, premiered on Japan television last year.
The film follows the protagonist Haruto, Koyomi, and a boy named Shiina after they are transported to "Land of Magic" by a rainbow-colored whirlwind. There, they meet Kamen Rider Sorcerer.
The film will open in Japan with Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: The Movie on August 3.
