Resident Evil: Revelations' 3rd Developer Diary Video Streamed
posted on by Karen Ressler
The official CAPCOM Europe YouTube channel began streaming the third "developer diary" video on Friday for Resident Evil: Revelations (Biohazard Revelations in Japan). The third diary focuses on how the developers use the game mechanics and music to evoke shock and terror for their horror game. CAPCOM previously streamed two other diary videos.
CAPCOM also confirmed on Friday that the game will have a playable demo on XBox Live, PlayStation Network, the Nintendo eShop, and Steam before it ships in North America and Europe. CAPCOM will release the demo on May 14.
The game's story is set between Resident Evil 4 and 5. It begins with Jill Valentine searching for the missing Chris Redfield aboard a luxury ship, the site of an outbreak.
The port will feature a new Infernal Mode, which offers a revised, "nigh-impossible" campaign with new enemy and item placements, compared to the original Nintendo 3DS game released last year.
Biohazard/Resident Evil: Revelations Unveiled Edition will retail for 4,990 yen (about US$56), and will be released on May 23 in Japan. The game will also be released in North America on May 21 and in Europe on May 24.
