DoDonPachi Saidaioujou Promo Streamed

Japanese game developer Cave began streaming a promotional video for its upcoming XBox 360 game DoDonPachi Saidaioujou. The video gives an overview of gameplay scenarios with commentary by Operator (Asami Shimoda) and Saya (Aya Hirano).

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou is the latest in a series of vertically scrolling arcade shooter games that began in 1995 with DonPachi. This newest game features women pilots designed by Ar Tonelico artist Nagi Ryou, who change their outfits depending on the player's chosen weapon system.

Video game publisher Rising Star Games, a subsidiary of Grasshopper Manufacture, released Cave's Akai Katana shooter in the U.S. and Europe last year.

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou ships in Japan on May 30.
