Etrian Odyssey: MM Promo Previews Madhouse Anime Sequences

Atlus began streaming a three-minute story promotional video for the Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Maiden 3D action role-playing game on Saturday. The video highlights the anime sequences that the Studio Madhouse is producing for the game.

Kōsuke Toriumi voices the hero of the game, a highlander summoned by the Etrian government to go to some mysterious ruins. Mariya Ise plays Frederica Irving, the amnesiac girl who the hero encounters at the ruins. Her millennium-old memories may be the key to saving the world.

Another person the hero encounters is Simon Yorke (Daisuke Ono), the survey team leader dispatched by the Mizugaruzu Library to the ruins. Also in Simon's team is the young alchemist Arthur Charles (Toshiyuki Toyonaga) and the paladin Racoona Sheldon (Shizuka Itou).

Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Maiden will ship in Japan on June 27 for 6,279 yen (about US$63). The first copies of the game will include a soundtrack of exclusive music by Yuzo Koshiro with an illustration by character designer Yuji Himukai. Shigeo Komori directed the game, and Shin Nagasawa designed the monsters.
