DoDonPachi Saidaioujou Opening Video Previews Aya Hirano's Song

Japanese game developer Cave began streaming the opening video for its upcoming XBox 360 game DoDonPachi Saidaioujou. The anime opening video features the song "Hoshikuzu Garandō" ("Stardust Void") by Aya Hirano, who is known for starring in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, and other anime. The singer will also provide the voice for the character Saya.

The video introduces the other members of the cast:

• Yukana as Shuri
• Eri Kitamura as Hikari
• Mamiko Noto as Maria
• Asami Shimoda as Operator
• Aoi Yūki as Hina

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou is the latest in a series of vertically scrolling arcade shooter games that began in 1995 with DonPachi. This newest game features women pilots designed by Ar Tonelico artist Nagi Ryou, who change their outfits depending on the player's chosen weapon system. The game ships in Japan on May 30.
