Bandai's 1st Sailor Moon Action Figure in Years Previewed
posted on by Egan Loo
Bandai presented more photographs and details on its first articulated Sailor Moon figure in years on Monday. The Bandai Collectors division's S.H. Figuarts action figure line will add the title magical girl from Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon manga this August to mark the franchise's 20th anniversary.
The 14-centimeter (about 5.5-inch) figure can recreate many of the character's classic poses, including her signature "In the name of the moon I will punish you!" pose.
The 4,410-yen (US$45) set will come with the figure itself, three interchangeable parts for different facial expressions, three interchangeable left hands, five interchangeable right hands, her cat Luna, two Moon Sticks, and parts for recreating the Moon Tiara Action effect. The figure's special site will reveal still more details in the future.
A new anime adaptation of the manga was announced last year.
