At Anime Contents Expo on Saturday, a stage event for the Mushibugyō anime announced that Vocaloid song artist samfree ("Promise," "megu-megu☆Fire Endless Night," "Luka Luka★Night Fever") created character songs for the series.
The event announced two songs: “Haru Ooh Lala – Momorarura” for the character Haru (voiced by Satomi Akesaka) and “Gekijō Paranoia” for Hibachi (Rumi Ookubo). samfree composed, arranged, and wrote the lyrics for the songs. Both singles will be released on May 22 for 1,260 yen (about US$13.40) each.
The Vocaloid composer is known for the song "Luka Luka ★ Night Fever," which features in several Hatsune Miku video games. samfree recently contributed the song "Oden☆My Life" to an Oden promotional campaign for the LAWSON convenience store chain.
Hiroshi Fukuda's original Mushibugyō action manga is set in Edo-era Tokyo in the early 1700s. The eighth shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune creates a new magistrate unit — Mushibugyō — to protect the people in the heart of the city. Each member is a specialist with unique fighting skills.
The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on April 8, and Crunchyroll will begin streaming the series on the same day.
