Legendary Pictures began streaming a 15-second greeting by Godzilla remake director Gareth Edwards on Tuesday. In the video, the film staff are on set in Vancouver, British Columbia. The video shows what appears to be the set for immigration control at a Japanese airport.
Edwards is directing the film based on a script rewrite by Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead, The Mist, The Green Mile) with stars Aaron-Taylor Johnson (Kick-Ass), Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene, Oldboy), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Argo), Juliette Binoche (The English Patient, Chocolat, Cosmopolis), David Strathairn (Lincoln, The Bourne Ultimatum, Good Night, and Good Luck.), and Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai, Letters to Iwo Jima, Memoirs of a Geisha).
The film is slated to open on May 16, 2014.
