posted on by Egan Loo
The expanded April issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine is announcing on Thursday that Namco Bandai Games is bringing its Digimon World Re:Digitize "digital monster-raising role-playing game" to the Nintendo 3DS system this year.
The expanded Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode game will have never-before-seen Digimon such as new ones with the X-Antibody. It will also have two new storylines: Dōkoku no X-Kōtai (The Lamentful X-Antibody) and Sakubō no Maō (The Scheming Demon Lord). The evolved Dukemon X-Anti-Body and Omegamon X-Antibody forms will appear in the Dōkoku no X-Kōtai storyline alongside a mysterious Digimon known as Dorumon.
The 3DS version will take advantage of the system's dual screens and touch panel. More information about the Sakubō no Maō storyline will be in the following issue in March.
Bandai Namco Games had already reported on Friday that the fourth phase of the Digimon franchise's 15th anniversary project will be revealed in the April issue on Thursday. The other three phases were the original PSP game Digimon World Re:Digitize, the iPhone card RPG Digimon Crusader, and the PSP game Digimon Adventure.
