Mind-Controlled Cat Ear Creators Make Brainwave Music Player
posted on by Karen Ressler
Neurowear, the company that created the mind-controlled cat ears Necomimi, posted a demo video to its official YouTube channel on Friday for its iPhone app "Zen Tunes." The app is advertised to analyze the brainwaves of a user wearing a brainwave headset while the user listens to music. The app then sorts songs into "relax" tunes and "focus" tunes, and creates a "Meditation Chart" for the former and an "Attention Chart" for the latter. Once created, the playlists may be shared over social media.
Neurowear introduced its moving cat ears headsets, which change according to the user's brainwaves, in 2011. The company also produced a limited-edition wolf ear variant based on Mamoru Hosoda's film Wolf Children. Necomimi are available in North America through the company's website.
