Dragon Quest VII Goes Live-Action in New TV Ads
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The website for Square Enix's Dragon Quest VII: Eden no Senshi-tachi (Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden) 3DS remake began streaming a new live-action commercial campaign on Thursday. The campaign has four complementary ads: "Town Square," "The Mysterious Stone," "The Adventure Begins," and a 56-second web long version that combines the footage together.
The 3DS game is a remake of Enix's PlayStation title that debuted in Japan in 2000 and North America in 2001. The original PlayStation version also inspired live-action commercials in Japan, including one with the male idol group SMAP:
In the game, the characters discover there is more to the world than their solitary island of Estard. The party consists of the Hero from the coastal town of Fishbel, Prince Kiefer of Estard, the childhood friend and tomboy Maribel, the wolf boy Gabo, the legendary hero Melvin, and the ritual dancer Aira. The game will have brand-new 3D graphics and players can wirelessly exchange art with each other using the StreetPass feature of the 3DS.
The game will arrive in Japan on February 7.
