Soul Sacrifice's PlayStation Awards Trailer Streamed
posted on by Karen Ressler
The official YouTube channel for PlayStation Japan began streaming a trailer on Monday for the upcoming Soul Sacrifice PlayStation Vita game. Sony previously showed the trailer at the PlayStation Awards on December 3. The trailer features battle gameplay footage, which the video describes as "intense magic battle action."
In Soul Sacrifice, players take on the role of a slave who is rescued from sacrifice by a mysterious "Golam Book." The player can use magic, but a sacrifice must be made to do so, which can be anything from jewels to body parts. As magic users become more powerful, they lose their human appearance and will eventually turn into the monsters that inhabit the world.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan will produce the title developed by Marvelous AQL. It is helmed by Keiji Inafune (Mega Man, Street Fighter) and features composers Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Kid Icarus: Uprising) and Wataru Hokoyama (Afrika, Resident Evil 5). The game will ship in Japan on March 7, in North America on April 30, and in Europe on May 1.
