Battle Angel Manga's Kishiro Featured on English NHK TV Show

The next episode of imagine-nation, an English-language program shown on the international broadcast service NHK World TV, will feature an interview with manga creator Yukito Kishiro, best known for his Battle Angel Alita (known in Japan as GUNNM manga. The episode will air at 6:30 p.m. EDT on Tuesday and repeat five times on Wednesday.
The imagine-nation program covers comics, anime, and games with interviews, top rankings, and other segments. NHK lists the available ways that viewers outside Japan can watch NHK World, and NHK's own website streams NHK World.
Yukito Kishiro's Battle Angel Alita manga began serializing in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in 1990, and finished in 1995 with 9 compiled volumes. Battle Angel Alita: Last Order is currently serializing in Kodansha's Evening magazine. Viz Media once published the manga in North America, and Kodansha Comics now has the rights.
Film director James Cameron confirmed in 2003 that he was involved in a live-action Battle Angel Alita project, but in 2012, he revealed in an interview that the Battle Angel movie will not be happening in a few years, as he was busy filming the Avatar sequels and documentaries.
