The A*Spirits charity group will host the "Mangaka Tamashii! ~Hero's Legend~ episode 01" (Manga Creator Spirit: Hero's Legend episode 01) event in Tokyo on February 11. Manga creators, actors, and illustrators will contribute to the event to support victims of the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan.

Manga creators Ken Akamatsu (Negima, Love Hina), Kia Asamiya (Silent Möbius, Nadesico), Masaomi Kanzaki (Xenon, Hagane), and Minoru Nonaka (Radi-Con Kid, Armored Trooper Votoms) are leading the project. Character designer Yoshitaka Amano (Vampire Hunter D, Final Fantasy video games), voice actor Tomokazu Seki (Fate/Zero, Nodame Cantabile), several tokusatsu (live-action special-effects) actors, and other artists and performers will also contribute.

Participating manga artists will unveil a "new robot work" during the event. "Mangaka Tamashii!" will also include an auction of illustrations and personal items as well as handshake and signing events. Attendees will receive a limited number of original goods.

The event will be held inside the Aprico venue at the Ōta Residents Hall in Tokyo's Ōta ward.
