Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn's 4th Alpha Demo Streamed

The official YouTube channel for Final Fantasy XIV began streaming a 5-minute gameplay video for the alpha version of the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn update of the massive multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) on Wednesday. The video continues the tour of the revamped Black Shroud area in the game. The Black Shroud is the name of the wooded area surrounding Gridania, an area covered in the first and second alpha demo video.
Square Enix announced in September that alpha testing will begin this winter, and Square Enix is still recruiting testers on Windows PCs.
The former incarnation of Final Fantasy XIV went offline on November 11 with plans to migrate players over to the new game. Producer Naoki Yoshida had revealed at Germany's GamesCom event in August that the game would undergo server-load tests this fall. Square Enix then revealed in the "Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live Part IV" web program that the beta test will run from late January to early February.
