Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission's Teaser Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
Namco Bandai Games began streaming a teaser promotional video for Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission, its Nintendo 3DS port of the 2010 Dragon Ball Heroes arcade card battle adventure game, on Tuesday. The video shows some of exclusive features of the 3DS port, such as the new in-game animation and the new story mode:
In Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission, the player assembles a deck of five cards for battles. As the player uses the touch stylus to create a card formation on the bottom screen, the battle unfolds on the top screen. The game will feature over 100 characters and more than 800 cards in 12 packs (from the first Dragon Ball Heroes release to the fourth Galaxy Mission pack).
Unlike the arcade version, the Nintendo 3DS port will have a new story mode that will let the player follow and experience the Dragon Ball story, along with newly animated footage. Players can also make full use of the built-in 3DS features to duel with each other wirelessly. The teaser hints that there will be link between this game and next March's Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods film.
The game will arrive in Japan on February 28, 2013. The first copies of the game will have an exclusive card set with a 100-save Trial Hero License Card for the arcade version, four battle cards (including two with new characters before they get released elsewhere), and a hero avatar card.
