Comic Market Releases Catalog on Web for Free

posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Biggest dōjinshi event's beta catalog displays artist circles in interactive map

The Comic Market Preparations Committee, the group responsible for organizing the largest dōjinshi event in the world, launched a beta online version of its catalog on Monday. The beta lists details and locations of the different exhibitors for Comic Market (Comike) 83, which will be held from December 29 to December 31. Users can explore each area with an interactive map and mark their favorite circles with different colors to organize them.

The Comike Web Catalog requires users to register for free on the circle.ms service.

The Comic Market Preparations Committee announced in August that it would begin putting the catalog on the web. It already releases the catalog in print (with over 1,000 pages), as well as on DVD for browsing on a computer.

Update: The circle.ms service is not connected to Microsoft. Thanks, configspace.
