posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Toy maker Bandai revealed a life-size bronze recreation of Saint Seiya's Bronze Cloth Pegasus Mask at its Tamashii Nation 2012 convention at Tokyo's Akihabara UDX building this week.
The mask, titled “RMM (Real Material Model) Rebirth Bronze Cloth Pegasus Mask," promotes Bandai's Saint Seiya figures such as the EX Pegasus Seiya. It sat alongside other displays and figures from different anime series, including Magi, Fate/Zero, Pretty Cure, Sailor Moon, and Dragon Ball.
This year's Tamashii Nation marks the convention's fifth anniversary, after the event was first held in 2008. It is a figure and model convention aimed towards older fans.
The new Saint Seiya Omega anime began airing in March, and has been streaming on the Crunchyroll service as it is airs in Japan. Tiger & Bunny's Keiichi Satou is directing a CG film version for next year, and Toei Animation chairman Kōzō Morishita said that he is considering producing a new television anime series in the Saint Seiya franchise after the film opens.
Hobby Media and the Mainichi Shimbun newspaper's Mantan Web posted more photographs from the event.
