Pokémon Train Has Playroom Car for Quake Area Kids

Japan Railway East will run a Pokémon sightseeing train through Iwate Prefecture as part of its effort to support children in the areas affected by last year's Great East Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster. The "Pokémon With You" train is not just a train wrapped with Pokémon art on the outside, although it does have that. It is the first train to have Pokémon inside and out, including an entire car that has been transformed into a forest-like playroom.
The train will also have a "Communication Seat" car where families can sit back and enjoy the scenery outside together. The people behind Pokémon With You initiative "want to bring smiles to the faces of children of Tohoku" with this train.
The train will run on Iwate Prefecture's Ōfunato LINE from December 22 to 28, and will be open to children in the earthquake-affected Tohoku areas by invitation.
