LBX/Danbōru Senki Stop-Motion Project Previewed
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The official Japanese PlayStation YouTube channel began streaming a preview for the "The Battle of LBX - Fantasy Live-Action Project" on Monday. The stop-motion project will be used to help promote the upcoming Danbōru Senki W (Little Battlers eXperience W) video game for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita, which will ship on October 18.
The final stop-motion video featuring an original story will be released on October 11.
Along with a new anime, Level-5 is developing the "plastic model craft role-playing game" as a full sequel to the original Danbōru Senki (Little Battlers eXperience) PSP game that shipped in Japan last year. The player controls tiny battle robots called LBX (Little Battler eXperience) as they battle it out in dioramas built from reinforced cardboard. ("Danbōru Senki" literally means "cardboard warriors.") The new game will feature combining robots.
Level-5 will release both the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation Vita versions of the game for 4,980 yen (about US$63), or 4,480 yen (US$56) via download.
