Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas PC Game's 3rd Promo Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
The studio Nitroplus began streaming the third promotional video for Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas, its computer adventure game prequel based on the Guilty Crown anime, on Sunday.
The 180-second video features the "Planetes" song by the anime's in-story band EGOIST. The song is the theme for Production I.G's 12-minute original video anime short bundled with the game's limited edition.
The game is set a decade before the anime on December 25, 2029. On that day, the "Apocalypse Virus" devastated the land in an incident known as "Lost Christmas." Against this backdrop, the game will reveal a previously untold story of the events leading up to the anime.
Takahiro Sakurai plays Scrooge, Kana Asumi will play Carol, Ayahi Takagaki will play Past, and Yū Kobayashi will play Present. Jin Haganeya (Demonbane game) wrote the original scenario for the game, and Chuuouhigashiguchi created the original artwork. Both are involved in the anime itself, which premiered on Fuji TV's late-night Noitamina programming block last October.
Nitroplus delayed the game from May 31 to July 26 due to "production" issues. The regular version will cost 5,040 yen (about US$61), and the limited edition will retail for 7,140 yen (US$86). Nitroplus posted the game's first promotional video in January, and began streaming the second one in April.
