Hello Kitty leads with 108,214 votes, polls close August 19
Preliminary results for Sanrio's 2012 Character Poll were posted on Friday. One hundred characters are pushing for a chance to win the number one spot. The top ten ranks accumulated over 500,000 votes as of July 13 with Sanrio's mascot character, Hello Kitty, leading with over 100,000 votes. Last year's winner, My Melody, is following behind in the second place spot.
The poll closes August 19.
