Creamy Mami Anime Features on Naruto City's Awa Odori Poster

The promotional poster for this year's Awa Odori event in the southern Japanese city of Naruto features characters from the Magical Angel Creamy Mami television anime series. Studio Pierrot is collaborating with the Naruto Awa Odori executive committee to produce the poster.
To publicize the cultural event, the poster will be hung in local shops and tourist areas throughout Tokushima Prefecture. The collaboration will produce a total of 3,800 posters in two sizes. Local chambers of commerce and tourism associations will begin giving away 500 copies of the smaller poster on July 1.
The Naruto television anime voice actors Junko Takeuchi (Naruto Uzumaki) and Kentarou Itou (Chouji Akimichi) will also appear at the event on August 11.
The anime studio ufotable produced a promotional poster for last year's Tokushima Awa Odori event in the same prefecture. The poster featured many anime characters as drawn by Takashi Takeuchi (Fate/Zero), huke (Black Rock Shooter), Satoru Nakamura (Ghost in the Shell), Tomonori Sudō (Kara no Kyōkai - the Garden of sinners), and others. A portion of proceeds were donated to support charity efforts for the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster.
Every year, the Naruto Awa Odori takes place on August 9-11, and the Tokushima Awa Odori follows on August 12-15.
