Wacom, a maker of computer drawing tablets and screens, posted a video of professional artist Tsukasa Ryūgū, creator of the VY2 Vocaloid character 66 (Roro), using its Cintiq 24HD pen tablet. Tsukasa Ryūgū goes by the name Manbou no Ane for her Vocaloid-related works. Tsukasa Ryūgū's most famous work, "Time-Warped After Chopping My Stag Beetle," which features the Vocaloid character Gumi, currently has over a million views.
The video is part of an ongoing series that has featured artists including character designer Sunao Chikaoka, Hidamari Sketch creator Ume Aoki, Sora no Woto designer Mel Kishida, Hatsune Miku designer Kei, Tonari no 801-chan creator Ajiko Kojima, Petit Eva - Evangelion@Schoolcharacter designer Ryusuke Hamamoto, A-Channel's bb Kuroda, Ameiro, Denkigai no Honya-san manga creator Asato Mizu, and others.
Since the software package was released in 2009, Megpoid has been featured in songs and even as the voice of a singing robot. Its developer is planning an Megpoid Extend update that is compatible with the recently released Vocaloid3 software engine upgrade.
