A Certain Magical Index Gets Game by Namco Bandai, Guyzware
posted on by Egan Loo
ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint announced on Friday that a game adaptation of A Certain Magical Index (Toaru Majutsu no Index) franchise has been green-lit. Namco Bandai Games and Guyzware (Toradora! Portable, Oreimo Portable) are collaborating on the project. More details will be revealed in the 521st issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki PlayStation magazine on June 28.
Kazuma Kamachi's Toaru Majutsu no Index light novel series inspired two television anime series, as well as A Certain Scientific Railgun manga that inspired its own anime franchise. Funimation licensed the first Index series and the Railgun anime, while Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the Railgun manga. An anime film will open next February with a new story written by Kamachi and new characters designed by novel illustrator Kiyotaka Haimura.
