posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The online licensed clothing, accessory, and art retailer WeLoveFine.com announced on Monday that it is releasing a series of T-shirts that feature Sanrio's Hello Kitty characters in Street Fighter outfits. The website is currently accepting orders for the crossover collection's first six designs.
Characters designs include Sanrio's Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, and My Melody as well as Street Fighter's Chun-Li, Ryu, and Cammy. The 100% cotton shirts are available in men's and women's designs, and each costs US$25. The Street Fighter game developer CAPCOM revealed last July that it was partnering with Sanrio on Hello Kitty crossover merchandise.
The capsule toy maker Kitan Club will also release a series of Vocaloid x Hello Kitty mascot charms in late September. The set of six Hello Kitty charms will feature the Vocaloid virtual idol characters Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, and a secret character. Each charm will be available in capsule machines in Japan for 300 yen (about US$4).
Hatsune Miku previously teamed up with Sanrio for a Snow Miku line of Hello Kitty characters goods that were released only in the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. Hatsune Miku's producer, Toshihiro Fukuoka, also revealed Hello Kitty-themed Hatsune Miku merchandise at the Otakon convention in 2011.
