Madoka Magica Portable Game's Countdown Promos Streamed

The official website for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable PSP dungeon crawler game has begun posting promotional gameplay videos counting down to the game's release on Thursday. The videos feature battle sequences with various enemies in recreations of memorable scenes from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime.

Bandai Namco Games will publish the game on the PlayStation Portable on March 15, 2012.

Yusuke Tomizawa (God Eater) and Yoshinao Doi (Steins;Gate, Madoka Magica) are producing the game, and the anime's head writer Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero) is collaborating on the project's planning and supervising the scenario. The studio Shaft (Bakemonogatari) is producing the animation just as it did for the original Madoka Magica anime.

The game's regular edition will cost 6,480 yen (about US$84), while the limited-pressing pre-order edition will cost 11,990 yen (US$155).
