Touhou Project Creator ZUN Gets Married

ZUN, the creator of the Touhou Project dōjin (self-published) game series, revealed on the 2-Kenme Kara Hajimaru Radio program on Wednesday that he recently got married to a programmer unconnected with Touhou Project. ZUN revealed his marriage about 80 minutes into the program, which is recorded at the Nikenme Bar in Tokyo. The couple have known each other since 2004, when ZUN released Touhou Eiyashou ~ Imperishable Night, and have already been living together for a long while.
Even though the couple already registered their marriage half a year ago, the couple plans to hold a formal ceremony when they have time. Ironically, the ceremony will be on the same day as this spring's Reitaisai, the convention centering around the Touhou Project franchise, on May 27. As a result, he will probably not be able to attend that Reitaisai.
