Hatsune Miku & Future Stars Project Mirai Opening Streamed (Updated)
posted on by Egan Loo
The game publisher Sega began streaming the 114-second opening movie for its Hatsune Miku and Future Stars Project Mirai 3D rhythm action game on Tuesday. The video features the opening theme song "Yumeyume" by DECO*27. In the game, Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloid idols are modeled with the official super-deformed Nendoroid figure designs from Good Smile Company.
The game allows players to change costumes and even the characters voicing each song. It also features original music videos for popular songs such as "Piano Girl," "Matoryoshika," "Melancholic," and "LOL -lots of laugh-" in 3D. Newly written songs such as "Happy Synthesizer" and "Yume-Yume" have animated music videos in the game. Thanks to augmented-reality technology and the Nintendo 3DS system's 3D camera, the idols can perform virtual "desktop" concerts at the users' homes.
The game will ship on March 8 for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan, and pre-ordered copies will come with a "Mirai no Tote" mini tote bag, while supplies last.
Update: Sega re-uploaded the video. Thanks, championferret and Stokky.
