Lupin III 40th Anniversary Event to Stream Live

The video-streaming service Nico Nico will stream the "Lupin III Big Thanks Festival" event live for six hours on February 26. The Lupin III 40th anniversary committee is partnering with the pachinko machine maker Heiwa to host the event and celebrate the anime inspired by manga creator Monkey Punch's master thief character.

The event will take place in Tokyo's trendy Roppongi district at the Nicofarre hall. Admission will be free, but the event's planners will distribute two sets of tickets that fans must use to attend the event at 3:00 p.m or 6:30 p.m. The event's website will reveal further details and guest information soon.

Heiwa unveiled its new "Lupin III: World is mine" pachinko machines on February 14 and began streaming a promotional video (see below). The Lupin III Master File Blu-ray Disc/DVD release will also commemorate the anime series' 40th anniversary and include a new anime short.
